Dog access, in detail

Off-leash all day, every day, but only between the 3rd and 4th rock groynes at the western end of the beach, next to the Bonna Point Reserve car park and Bonna Point Boat Ramp. Dogs are prohibited on the rest of Silver Beach. Leash your dog entering and leaving the off-leash section.

The vibe

A Botany Bay beach on the Kurnell Peninsula with a genuinely all-day (not timed) off-leash section — but only between two named rock groynes at the western end, next to the Bonna Point boat ramp. The rest of Silver Beach is dog-prohibited.

Good to know before you go

Toilets and a water bubbler at Bonna Point Reserve across the road, plus a playground and nearby café.

Dog-access information last checked 19 August 2026 against Sutherland Shire Council. Check the current official rules. Rules can change — always check before visiting.
