General information only

This site is an independently maintained directory of dog-friendly places across Sydney, provided for general guidance and convenience. It isn't a guarantee of current opening hours, access, suitability, availability, or policy at any listed place.

Rules can change

Council off-leash rules and venue dog policies can change at any time, sometimes without notice. Always check the linked official source, or check with the venue directly, before visiting — especially for anything time-sensitive like leash hours.

Commercial listings

Cafés, pubs, restaurants, and accommodation are listed because they're genuinely dog-friendly — not because they've paid for placement, and not as an endorsement. Their own policies (fees, restrictions, availability) can change independently of this site.

Maps

Map pins are provided for convenience. Some listings are intentionally left unmapped where a coordinate couldn't be confidently verified — a missing pin doesn't mean the listing itself is wrong. Where a walk or trail shows a pin, it usually marks a verified starting point rather than the full route. Map and location information should never override official signage or on-the-ground rules.

AI assistant

The "Ask DogFriendlySydney" assistant answers using this site's own directory data. It may not cover every dog-friendly place in Sydney, and its answers are not legal, veterinary, medical, or safety advice. Always verify anything important via the linked official source before relying on it.

Your responsibility

You're responsible for complying with local council rules and for supervising your dog. This site can help you find somewhere to go — it can't do that part for you.
