Information we collect

There's no account system and no visitor database on this site. Information only reaches us in two ways:

• Suggest a Spot and correction links — these open a pre-filled email in your own email app addressed to greenslopesdirect@gmail.com. Nothing is sent, and nothing is stored on this site, unless you choose to send that email yourself — it just becomes a normal email in our inbox.
• The "Ask DogFriendlySydney" assistant — your question is sent to our server to search the directory. See "AI assistant" below for what may happen after that.

Server and hosting logs

Like virtually every website, ordinary technical details (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) are logged automatically by our hosting and security infrastructure — Cloudflare, and our hosting platform, Lovable — simply as part of running and protecting the site. We don't use this for advertising or tracking you across other sites.

Cookies

This site doesn't set marketing, advertising, or tracking cookies. Our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, may set a small technical cookie to help tell real visitors apart from automated traffic — that's outside our control and isn't used to identify you personally.

AI assistant

"Ask DogFriendlySydney" answers using this site's own verified listing data — it doesn't invent places from general knowledge. Your question is always processed on our server first to find matching listings. When an optional AI-provider integration is switched on, your question and the matching listing details (never your name, email, or any other personal information, since the assistant doesn't collect that) may also be sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to help phrase the reply. When that integration isn't active, answers are generated directly from the directory data without being sent to a third-party AI provider. The assistant isn't a source of legal, veterinary, medical, or emergency advice.

Maps

Opening a map on this site loads map tiles directly from OpenStreetMap, a third-party map provider, in the same way any website with an embedded map does — OpenStreetMap may see your IP address as part of that request. We don't add our own tracking on top of this.

Listings link out to official council and government pages, venue websites, and Google Maps for directions. Once you follow one of these links, that site's own privacy practices apply — we don't control them.
