Dog access, in detail

Off-leash in the central grass and woodland area, bounded by the aquatic centre (north), native meadow (south), main shared path (west) and park boundary (east). On-leash elsewhere; dogs aren't permitted on the tennis/basketball courts, the pool, playgrounds or barbecue areas.

The vibe

A big, well-used inner-city park right by Central Station. The off-leash area covers the central grass and woodland — a genuinely useful option for anyone living or working near the CBD without a car.

Dog-access information last checked 19 August 2026 against City of Sydney. Check the current official rules. Rules can change — always check before visiting.
