Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk
Quick specs
Dog access, in detail
On-leash for the whole coastal path; dogs are not permitted on any of the beaches themselves (Bondi, Tamarama, Bronte, Clovelly, Coogee) at any time. Three off-leash pockets sit directly on the route: Marks Park (south of Bondi) before 8:30am and after 4:30pm; Bronte Park/Bronte Gully before 10am and after 3pm; and Burrows Park (just south of Waverley Cemetery, before Clovelly) off-leash all day.
The vibe
A roughly 6km clifftop path linking Bondi, Tamarama, Bronte, Clovelly and Coogee. The beaches themselves don't permit dogs at all — this walk uses the promenades and clifftop path behind them instead, and passes three genuine off-leash areas without leaving the route.
Good to know before you go
An extremely busy shared path, especially on weekends — keep leashes short around joggers and other walkers, particularly on the narrower clifftop sections.
Dog-access information last checked 19 August 2026 against Waverley Council / Randwick City Council. Check the current official rules. Rules can change — always check before visiting.
